WE WILL STAND BY JOHNNY NEEL

This song was inspired by the March For Our Lives protest. Watching and hearing the testimonies of students who have been affected by gun violence. Those amazing, brave young people who stood up asking for change. SPECIAL THANK YOU to the awesome musicians and vocalists who lent their time, talent, passion and love to this song. The musicians: Keri (KG) Greene on piano, Robert Cureton on bass and Jon (Smoke) Lucas on drums, laid down the strong foundation. Then in comes the beautiful Choir with Jonell Mosser, Vickie Carrico, Kelli Bruce Workman, Jackie Wilson and Melissa Alesi blending their sweet, beautiful vo ices together. Thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart. This one means something to me and I hope it touches you too.

Johnny Neel does a beautiful rendition of “That’s The Way Love Goes” as a tribute to one of the greats in Country Music, Merle Haggard.

Johnny said “This song came over me when I was in Park City Utah. We were playing on at large ranch on 10 acres and there was a river running right through the middle of it. I was overcome by the sound and just the whole feeling of the environment. I loved that place. Anyway, I asked if I could come back the next day and write this song, which Bryon Friedman and I did in about 45 minutes…seems like those are always the best ones. “

Johnny Neel in the STUDIO, working on his latest song that he wrote with Bryon Friedman “All The Way”. Great day in the Studio. Beautiful Song. This also shows how Johnny uses a Braille Typewriter to type out the lyrics. All instruments played by Johnny with Doug Jones on guitar and Al Russo singing harmony.
